But wait – is veganism really healthy, or just a marketing ploy to make us shell out extra cash for fashionable, processed foods?
On the one hand, eating plant-based can work miracles for your body. It can reduce your chances of heart disease and diabetes, and make you live longer. Load up on veggies, beans, and whole grains, and it's like giving your body a high-five. And it's also better for the environment – veganism is the green superhero we need!

Ultimately, it's a matter of balance. That vegan cookie you're looking at is likely to be great, but perhaps indulge in it as a treat and not as a regular snack. Always read labels, pay attention to what you are putting in your body, and keep in mind: just because it's vegan doesn't necessarily mean it's healthy.
